The Lexmark X1150 PrintTrio is quick: quick to
set-up, quick to operate, and quick to go through one printer cartridge
after another. But for just over $50, the X1150 PrintTrio offers
the home office printing, faxing and scanning capabilities in one
machine. Print resolution is can reach 2,400 x 1,200 in black and
4,800 x 1,200 dpi in color, and normal print mode prints documents
at a rate of 10.5 pages per minute in black and 3 pages per minute
in color. But remember, there are no free handouts in the printer
world--you get what you pay for. So the quality and speed of the
Lexmark X1150 PrintTrio are equivalent to what one would expect
at such a bargain price. One nice feature for the cost, however,
is that the copy machine can be utilized without incorporating the
PC. Also, unlike some other Lexmarks, the X1150 scanner is a flatbed.
The Lexmark X1150 PrintTrio gets the job done quickly and easily,
not stylishly. So if you're willing to risk insatiable ink needs
(#26 color printer cartridge and #16 black printer cartridge) and
don't have high expectations for quality output, then by all means
consider the Lexmark X1150 PrintTrio.
