The HP Photosmart 8450 Inkjet Printer is easy to use, offers
excellent print quality and demands expensive ink cartridge upkeep.
Like many of HP's Photosmart printers, the top of the line 8450 offers
numerous options for printing, including via memory cards, via
PictBridge technology for printing straight from digital cameras and
via Bluetooth-enabled camera phones. For the 8450, HP uses newly developed
long lasting ink--so your photos can stay vivid for the next
century--but failed to follow other brands in making their ink
cartridges more economical for the user. Printing with the HP
Photosmart 8450 Inkjet Printer means using a multi-color ink cartridge
that needs replacing even if it's out of only one color. For
top quality output, you also have to switch ink cartridges when you
change between printing photos and text. In normal mode you can print
a 4"x6" photo in 60 seconds, and up to 20 pages of text per minute.
So while the HP Photosmart 8450 Inkjet Printer isn't the most
efficient photo printer, it is high-quality and will meet the color
printing needs of a small office.
