HP Printer Reviews
Hewlett Packard PSC 750 Inkjet Printer
Not a bad all-in-one option. It prints at speeds of 11 pages per minute in black, 8.5 pages per minute in color with 2400 X 1200 dpi resolution. It is compatible with both Mac and PC and most operating systems. It offers copying and scanning in addition to printing.. Our experience has revealed that this machine is durable and easy to use. Since this product has been discontinued, you may find the replacement ink cartridges are rather expensive. We’d recommend this to home users who don’t produce the high-volume of printouts that you’d find in most office environments. This all-in-one should outlast the technology that it houses.
Hewlett Packard DeskJet 6122 Inkjet Printer
This printer combines both speed and quality – best of all it doesn’t cost a lot. The HP 6122 speeds along at 20 pages per minute in black and 13 pages per minute in color. It offers 4800 x 1200 dpi resolution and compatibility with both Mac and PC. Save money with new features like automatic duplex printing and paper sensors. A couple of things to watch out for with the HP 6122 printer: it’s a bit noisy, duplex printing is rather slow, and the ink management system doesn’t let you know when you ink cartridges are running low.
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 9000 Printer
The HP 9000 is the fastest, and probably the most versatile Hewlett Packard printer on the market today. It is ideal for distributed work environments requiring high volume printing and demanding printing environments. Its advanced networking options and remote management are excellent features that really help reduce the ownerships costs and increase productivity. The software that comes with this Hewlett Packard printer is excellent – it allows for compatibility with many environments. We’d describe this as a super-high-speed laser printer that costs a lot – but you really get a lot. Beware, this one is for the serious user or business user only.
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 3310 MFP Printer
This is certainly not our favorite multifunction printer, but it’s a solid option. The HP 3310mfp prints at speeds of 14 pages per minute with 1200 X 1200 dpi. It also offers copying, scanning, and faxing. It is compatible with both Mac and PC platforms and can print on a wide variety of media, including bond appear, transparencies, and envelopes. It comes with 32MB RAM and a max paper capacity of 320 sheets. It can copy at 14 pages per minute. What don’t we like? It doesn’t offer the best scanning capabilities – we found it to be slow at high resolutions.
Hewlett Packard Color LaserJet 2500L Printer
Expect professional results from this printer. The HP 2500 series offers easy-to-use printing designed for small businesses and small workgroups. It can reach speeds of 16 pages per minute in black and 4 pages per minute in color. It is best used as a black and white laser printer, but is versatile enough to handle some color printing. A fast 300MHz processor powers this printer, which also offers an instant-on fuser, and quick color calibration. Photo quality images are made possible by HP 2400 color layering technology and the new toner formula. As always, the HP 2500 L printer comes with the standard HP software that makes managing the printer and ink cartridges a cinch. It also offers remote diagnostics and internet access. Overall, this is an excellent printer for the money.
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2300N Printer
This is a nice workgroup printer that offers dependability, flexibility, and performance. The features on this machine are impressive. Print at speeds of 25 pages per minute with 1200 X 1200 dpi resolution. It is compatible with both Mac and PC, and can accommodate all kinds of media. It comes with 48 MB RAM, Fast Ethernet data link protocol, 266 MHZ processor, and compatibility with most operating systems. Its monthly duty volume is about 50K pages. The only complaints we have with this printer are that it’s noisy and has a tendency to jam up paper. It is an excellent option for heavy-use applications.
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 8100N Printer
This is the best black and white laser printer on the market today in our opinion. It can easily accommodate large workgroup loads with 32 pages per minute print speeds. It comes with 16MB RAM and fast Ethernet printer server. It can print over 150K pages per month with 1200 dpi resolution. Its ink cartridges use HP UltraPrecise technology for sharp monochrome printouts. A 166MHz NEC RISC processor powers the unit. Overall, this is a fast and reliable printer that will last for years. Printer software and ink management are a cinch. This is a definite “BUY” in our opinion.
