HP Printer Reviews
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 9000n Laser Printer
This is HP’s fastest LaserJet printer. It’s really designed for distributed work environments where high-volume printer systems are needed. Advanced connectivity options and remote management are two excellent features – they certainly serve to help with uptime. The HP 9000n printer is compatible with most environments and offers a max print resolution of 600 X 600 dpi. This printer can only print in black and white and does so at an astonishing 50 pages per minute. For the most part, this printer has very few actual flaws. The only complaint we have is that it takes a while to warm up --- but this is a common problem among laser printers.
Hewlett Packard Deskjet 5150 Inkjet Printer
Looking for professional quality photo print outs? This printer might be the one for you. It offers 4800 optimized dpi resolution with printing speeds of 19 pages per minute in laser quality. It can print borderless photos on standard photo sized paper. On screen ink level indicators make ink cartridge management a breeze. This printer comes with the option for two-sided printing. The HP 5150 printer is compatible with both Mac and PC and most operating systems. Overall this is a great HP printer. The only flaws that we see are rather small ink tanks (meaning you need to buy ink cartridges more often), and a rather large adapter. Nonetheless, we think this is an excellent printer that is surprising inexpensive.
Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200dt Laser Printer
This feature-packed laser printer boasts fast print speeds, instant-on fuser, a fast processor, large memory, and a high monthly duty cycle. It is a great option for small workgroups seeking internet-enabled printers that are easy to use and reliable. The HP 2200 delivers printouts at 19 pages-per-minute with 1200 dpi resolution. The print quality is excellent. One of the things we really like about this printer is 0 warm up time. We also like that it offers point and print wireless printing from portable PCs, cell phones, and PDAs. If you plan on printing a lot of non-standard paper sizes, you might want to rethink this purchase – non-standard paper has to be outputted through the back of the printer unit. Speedy installation and excellent HP support are other pluses of the Hewlett Packard LaserJet 2200dt printer.
Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart 1315 Inkjet Printer
This rather pricey, photo-direct printer is one of the most versatile desktop printers offered by Hewlett Packard. It prints super-high-quality documents and photos directly from memory cards,. The LCD display located on the printer allows you to manage the printer without having to turn on the computer. The HP 1315 comes with some excellent photo software that allows you to design photo albums, crop pictures, create b&w photos out of color photos, and even email your photos to friends. All the features packed in this printer are probably what drove the cost up. Nevertheless, if you’re serious about printing photos, this is an excellent option. The HP 1315 offers 2400 X 1200 dpi color resolution and prints at speeds of 13 pages per minute in color (17 pages per minute in black). Our recommendation on this printer is “BUY” – but only if you can afford to shell out a minimum of $400.
Hewlett Packard Deskjet 3320 Inkjet Printer
This is a good “beginner” printer – it’s easy to configure and manage, and offers fairly good results. A single printer cartridge is used for both black and color print outs – not the most cost effective option for those of you looking to print exclusively in one or the other. It motors a long at a mere 6 pages minute with up to 1200 X 600 dpi resolution. While the compact design does save space, this is a pretty bare-bones printer. The HP 3320 has very few advanced features that you’d find in a good photo printer. It is USB compatible and works with both Mac and PCs – but beware, this is really just an introductory printer. We would not recommend this printer to anyone who is serious about the quality of their printouts or who expects to print in high volume.
Hewlett Packard Laserjet 4100n Laser Printer
This is truly a comprehensive solution designed with the professional in mind. It offers outstanding print quality, low cost of ownership, high-speed printing, and high resolution output at 1200 dpi. The HP 4100 can take a beating and can meet your needs in high-volume production environments. The printouts are of excellent quality. We can’t really find any faults with this machine – other than maybe the cost. But you get what you pay for when it comes to printers.
