HP Printer Reviews
Hewlett Packard 950 xi Printer/Scanner/Copier
If you are in search of a multi-function printer that produces high quality output from each of its functions, then you’ll love the Hewlett Packard Printer/Scanner/Copier 950xi ink-jet printer. This printer is easy to use, looks great and prints beautiful color prints and photos too. The HP 950xi works well as a home printer or a small business printer depending upon your needs. You can plug media right in and start printing your digital photos immediately with the 950xi. So what is wrong with this printer since it sounds too good to be true? Well, besides the fact that the cartridges are pricey, one of the only pitfalls with this printer is the fact that the fax could stand to perform a bit better. For example, you have to feed each document manually into the fax- there is no multi-document feed. If you’re up for dealing with the slow and quirky fax on the HP 950xi then you certainly won’t be disappointed with the rest of the positive performance aspects of this multi-function printer.
Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 7110 Drop-on-Demand Thermal Printer
Hewlett Packard, though normally known for carrying good quality printers, must have been sleeping on the job when they created the HP OfficeJet 7110 drop-on-demand thermal ink-jet printer. The 7110 drop-on-demand printer is probably as bad as it gets when it comes to a multi-function printer. While the 7110 does have printing, copying and scanning capabilities all from one machine, there really is nothing to write home about when it comes to outstanding quality among any of these functions. Okay, so the 7110 is not an ink eater, but besides that, there really isn’t anything else positive to say about this all-in-one printer. For around $400, the OfficeJet 7110 is seemingly much higher in cost than its rivals while not featuring anything better than its competition. This big, clunky, noisy and slow printer has poor photo quality, is only okay at text printing, is slow at copying and tends to break down a lot. Heard enough? We thought so and strongly don’t recommend purchasing the Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 7110 Drop-on-Demand thermal ink-jet printer.
Hewlett Packard DeskJet 3820 Inkjet Printer
The Hewlett Packard DeskJet 3820 ink-jet printer is the type of printer that we don’t recommend anyone purchase! That is, unless you want to replace it in a few months with another printer! Though the DeskJet 3820 ink-jet printer is easy to use and has good print quality and looks like a nice, compact printer, don’t be fooled. So many folks have complained that only after a few months (around the time the 90 day warranty runs out) the HP DeskJet 3820 breaks down and dies. This is not a good sign. It might conk out quicker than its ink runs out. The 3820 is also quite loud too in case you still need an additional warning as to why you shouldn’t purchase this printer. It looks like the folks at HP need to get their act together and discontinue the 3820 ink-jet printer ASAP!
Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart 7550 Inkjet Printer
The Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart 7550 ink-jet printer is a smart choice for those of you who are looking for a fantastic all around printer. The PhotoSmart 7550 is a great printer that allows you to insert your memory card directly into the printer to bypass the computer when printing your digital prints. You’ll be pleased with the output quality and speed that this printer provides. The PhotoSmart 7550 also has a nice stylish design and is very quiet when printing. The LCD monitor allows you to view your pictures prior to printing as well. One of the only drawbacks is that the ink is pricey and the printer does not come with a USB cable, as is the case with many printers on the market. You will pay a lot when you purchase the HP PhotoSmart 7550, but you will get a lot in return.
Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 4110 Inkjet Printer
If you are searching for an inexpensive multi-function printer that produces quality output from each function, then the HP OfficeJet 4110 ink-jet printer is just right for you. The HP 4110 ink-jet printer features great print quality when it comes to both text and color printing. You’ll also be impressed with its scanning and copying capabilities which are remarkable considering the affordable price of this multi-function printer. Once you get past some of the difficulties of installing the HP OfficeJet 4110, the printer is very easy to operate. However, please keep in mind that the HP OfficeJet 4110 does not come with a USB cable, so be prepared to have one ready when you install this printer. The only other perceived weaknesses regarding this printer are the ink cartridge costs as well as the noisy paper handling. Other than that, the Hewlett Packard OfficeJet 4110 ink-jet printer is really one of the most reliable multi-function printers available. And did we mention that you can’t beat the inexpensive price?
