Epson Printer Reviews

Epson Stylus C44UX Inkjet Printer

The Epson C44UX is a versatile printer that meets the needs of users who print web pages, charts, photos, and documents. Set up and maintenance are both very easy, making this a good choice for the technically-challenged user. Photos are crisp and vibrant thanks to Epson Micro Piezo VSDT technology. This printer prints at speeds of 11 pages per minute in black and 5.5 pages per minute in color. It offers resolution of 2880 X 720 dpi. It can accommodate most media types and sizes, even A4. Its total paper capacity is about 100 sheets. Not a bad beginner printer, though a more seasoned printer might find this machine is too noisy, the paper feeding mechanism is a bit unreliable, and the ink cartridges run out too quickly. But at under $100, you can’t complain about quality – you definitely get what you pay for.

Epson Stylus Photo 950 Inkjet Printer

This is a great printer for amateur photographers, offering superb print quality and sharp lasting images. It uses six colors to offer you true to life photo printouts that rival those you’d get at a photo lab. It uses Epson’s patented Variable-Sized Droplet Technology to produce tiny ink droplets that gel together to form outstanding color photos. It prints at speeds of 8.8 pages per minute in both color and black, with 2880 X 1440 dpi resolution. The Epson Photo 950 printer is compatible with both Mac and PC, and can accommodate most media types. It maxes out at A4 size (210 X 297 mm), comes with a one year warranty, and weighs a mere 17 pounds. Print on glossy film, photo paper, transparencies, matte paper, and more. The total paper capacity on this printer is 150 sheets. Overall, this is a great printer for users who plan on printing digital photos.

Epson Stylus Photo 2100 Inkjet Printer

It is the complete photo solution, offering unbelievable print quality and all the tools that you need to act on your creative genius. The photos this printer produces are long lasting, true-to-life, and as crisp as you’ll see. Advances in Epson inkjet print head technology have made it easier than ever before to match and even beat out photo labs. The astonishing clarity produced by this Epson printer is thanks, in part, to the VSDT technology inside and the Micro Piezo print heads. If you are serious about the quality of your digital photos, this printer is for you. You won’t find an inkjet printer that does it better. The Stylus 2100 prints at speeds of 7.4 pages per minute in both color and black. It offers 2800 X 1440 dpi resolution, compatibility with both Mac and PC, and versatile media handling capability.

Epson AcuLaser C900 Laser Printer

This small workgroup laser printer is a cost-effective workhorse that offers high-quality color at low cost. It’s really two printers in one: It’s a high performance mono-chrome printer, and a versatile color laser print that prints with excellent quality. Print at speeds of 16 pages per minute in black and 4 pages per minute in color. It has a max resolution of 600 X 600 dpi and offers a monthly duty cycle of between 20K and 50K pages. It is compatible with both Macs and Pcs and comes standard with a media capacity of 200 pages. This is not a bad option for small businesses, offering affordable, high-quality output in both color and black and white.

pson Stylus Photo 1290S Inkjet Printer

Looking for photo-lab-quality output? Well, look no further. The Epson Stylus Photo 1290S offers incredible lightfast 6-color Photo Reproduction Quality. Edge to edge output incorporates Epson’s Perfect Picture Imaging System, which comes standard with this printer. Photos are printed in 2880 dpi resolution and have pin-sharp color, text, and graphics. The use of Epson patented 4-picolier Ultra Micro Dot and VSDT technology produces unbelievable fine detail and gradations. Print at speeds of 14 pages per minute in both color and black. The Epson Photo 1290S printer is compatible with both Mac and PC and can accommodate up to A3 size paper. Te maximum paper handling capacity on this printer is 100 sheets. We’d definitely recommend this printer to photographers – it prints quickly, quietly, and accurately. We give this a “BUY” rating.

Epson Stylus Photo 780 Inkjet Printer

Another great photo printer from Epson. The Stylus Photo 780 uses six-color printing and Micro Piezo technology to produce outstanding color gradations. Print photos that are life-like, rivaling the quality of the photo lab. Print at speeds of 8 pages per minute with 2880 X 720 dpi resolution. This printer is only compatible with PC platforms. It can accommodate up to A4 size paper. Some of the drawbacks of this machine include (1) it’s an ink- hog – expect to make frequent trips to our size for replacement ink cartridges; (2) it’s pretty noisy; and (3) it’s rather slow to get going. Given the price, this is not a bad option for the home user seeking to print documents as well as color photos.

Epson Stylus Photo 915 Inkjet Printer

This is a great option for digital camera owners seeking affordable photo printouts. The Epson 915 photo printer has a built-in PCMCIA slot and several photo processing features that allow you to print photos without even turning on your computer. Your digital camera can hook directly up to the printer, and an easy-to-use interface mounted on the printer allows you to manipulate the images before you print them. This printer is equipped with the latest and greatest Epson printer technology. It prints with 1440 X 720 dpi resolution at speeds of up to about 8 pages per minute. It can accommodate media up to A4 size and is compatible with both Mac and PC. This is a great step-up for digital camera owners seeking affordable, high-quality photos. It’s more expensive than other Epson Photo printers – and it’s also better in terms of the features and quality.
