Epson Printer Reviews
Epson Stylus Photo 960 Inkjet Printer
This model replaces the Epson Stylus Photo 890. It’s really ideal for photo printing, offering up incredible image quality at fairly fast speeds. It uses Epson’s patented Micro Piezo ink technology, which offers six color photos with sharp detail and expanded color range. Seven ink cartridges fuel this printer, which utilizes two black printer cartridges to speed up printing. It offers 2880 X 1440 dpi print resolution at black print speeds of up to 8 ppm. It is compatible with both Mac and PC and comes with 100 sheet media capacity. Photos printed on this machine are so sharp that you’ll have a hard time telling them apart from actual photos. Its CD/DVD printing capability is a real plus -- the fact that it offers no firewire support is a bit of a disappointment. Overall, the Epson Stylus Photo 960 inkjet printer is an excellent photo printer for under $500.
Epson Stylus CX3200 Inkjet Printer
This multifunction printer from Epson also works as a stand-alone copier and scanner. Given all of its capabilities, it’s surprisingly small, making it ideal for home or office use. It features 5760 optimized dpi resolution, Epson Smart Panel software, and borderless printing. The Epson CX3200 uses Epson Micro Piezo print head technology to offer unparalleled photo print quality. It produces true photo quality output, with borderless edge-to-edge printing. Best of all, you can print photos and make copies without turning on your computer. As with most high resolution printers, be prepared to buy a lot of ink cartridges. Since this printer uses ink cartridges with embedded smart chips, you may be surprised when you see the price of these printer supplies. One other thing to watch out for with this printer – an unusually short USB cable.
Epson Stylus Photo 925 Inkjet Printer
Digital photo lovers – this is the printer for you! The Epson 925 inkjet printer is compatible with many memory cards, enabling stand alone printing without having to connect to the computer. Various improvements to the printing technology makes printing photos much easier than ever before, as does the new auto paper cutter. This printer comes with three card slots all which enable data reading from microdrive, SmartMedia, Compact Flash, and Memory stick without using PCMCIA adapters. Print at speeds of 8.5 pages per minute with excellent 5760 X 720 dpi resolution. Our biggest complaints with this printer are that it’s rather slow, it drinks a lot of printer ink, and is susceptible to frequent paper jams. Be prepared to shell out extra money because the ink cartridges use smart chip technology. Set up is easy on this printer.
Epson Stylus C84 Inkjet Printer
This is a great printer for home use. It uses DURABrite ink, Epson’s famous specialty ink that provides water resistance, smudge-resistance, and fade resistance for up to 80 years. The printer ink is just one of the pieces that contributes to the laser-sharp text and brilliant color even on plain paper. This is a great solution if you’re primary printing documents. The use of separate ink cartridges on this printer makes replacement and ink management a cinch. Did we mention its photo printing capability? You’ll be very pleased with the look and feel of photos, and happy to see that it can print true borderless photos up to A4-size. The Epson C84 is an inexpensive, high-quality printer. The only drawback with this unit is its ink consumption. Be prepared to shell out plenty of dollars for replacement ink cartridges. We love this printer – it’s probably the best home-photo printer on the market today.
Epson Stylus C62 Inkjet Printer
How many home printers offer A4 size printing? Not many. The Epson Stylus C62 offers this, as well as 5760 optimized dpi resolution, print speeds of 14 pages per minute, and excellent ink management. This is a reliable Epson printer that provides high quality printouts with fast throughput. We like that it supports USB and Parallel connectivity. We don’t like tat it can’t print borderless photos, it has built in print heads, the ink cartridges have a low capacity, and that the ink cartridges are expensive. Te fact that it is so cheap definitely makes this printer more appealing. Expect great photo prints from this machine – but beware the high costs of Epson ink cartridges.

It supports Ethernet connectivity for TCP/IP, Novell, and Ether Talk. Print on all kinds of media, including glossy paper, film, self-adhesive sheets, photo paper and plain paper.
